The Europe INNOVA Conference 2006 will focus on innovation, and how to build on the industrial strengths and the spirit of entrepreneurship present in Europe. The conference will bring together the Europe INNOVA community, with key players in innovation from politics, academia and enterprises, to investigate the most effective ways to support innovation, and to debate innovation policy priorities for Europe.

Experts from across Europe will engage participants in an enriching discussion on:

• Building innovation on industrial strengths
• Better commercialising new ideas
• Helping innovative businesses grow faster
• Promoting an innovative spirit and capabilities

Challenges for the renewal of clusters
The conference will analyse the successful transformation of 'old' clusters into new business opportunities. Particular attention will be paid to the evolution of clusters in traditional industries and the determinants of successful cluster management. Actual cases will be presented to showcase successful models of cluster development.

Challenges for innovative businesses
The Europe INNOVA Conference 2006 will discuss how young innovative companies can be nurtured so that more world class companies will be created. The entire valorisation process, from knowledge creation to the commercialisation of ideas, will be analysed and debated to find out the best ways of promoting "gazelles" in Europe.
